Uzbekistan has restricted entry from a number of southern African countries and Hong Kong for foreign travellers due to the Omicron COVID-19 variant. You must self-isolate for 10 days upon arrival if you’re travelling from Australia or one of the other countries where the Omicron variant has been detected. You must provide a certificate with a negative COVID-19 (PCR) test result taken with 72 hours before arrival. You may also be required to take an additional COVID-19 (PCR) test after seven days from your arrival. Airports are open but international flights are very limited. The land border with Afghanistan is closed until further notice.
