From 11.59pm Thursday 23 December 2021, managed isolation and quarantine (MIQ) in New Zealand will be extended from 7 to 10 days. From Friday 7 January 2022, you should have a negative COVID-19 (PCR or RT-PCR) test taken within 48 hours of your scheduled departure (previously 72 hours). Other test types will no longer be accepted.
